West Virginian artist Fort Guerin (b. 1971) was raised in Mesa, Arizona, and draws inspiration from the the Old West, Pop Culture and creating this new Western style with derivatives in Comic books paneled paintings of the 40's and 50's. As a prolific artist of his particular style, Fort creates a world on characters, Wild West stories and a lifestyle of long lost cowboys, heroes, and the outlaws one alike. Using seemingly found material, the butcher paper often used in Forts works give him the defining look that beckons the folk arts of American culture.
Jason Lohmeier
Born and raised in Arizona, Jason Lohmeier, grew up scrambling across the quartz and granite of the Sonoran Desert. Whether it was hiking, backpacking, exploring ghost towns, or observing wildlife, Jason developed a love for Arizona and it's deserts, arroyos, valleys, canyons, mountains, wildlife and the people he met and read about. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 2004 with a bachelors in Fine Art. He has worked the last ten years in Art Education and has decided it's time to sit down and pick up pen and brush and share his experiences with you on paper and canvas. The inspiration for his work is the land and the people and wildlife who reside there.
"I am inspired daily from anything western. You will find soldier, settler, cowboy, rancher, miner, lawman, gambler, mountain man, vaquero, warrior, and many other salty characters in my artwork. From Montana to Old Mexico and teepee's to 4x4 trucks, I love them all equally. I will continue to explore the amazing west and I will be thrilled to have you hang my artwork in your home." - Jason
